Brown Betty here giving you the latest in what's going on. I came across the website The Panache Report that focuses on the latest in the entertainment industry. They have a column there dedicated to celebrities who received very little to no fanfare about their careers at the time of their tragic death. I was saddened by the entertainers, actors, musicians and artist who passed away. As I was reading I would say, "I remember him...he had that song back in the day" while humming the tune. Or I would say "Oh yeah. He was in that film..." Check out the website for juicy entertainment from the hottest celebrities and gossip. R.I.P. to all the celebrities. Below is just a tid-bit of celebrities who had passed.
Robert DoQui (April 20, 1934 – February 9, 2008) was
an actor who has starred in film and on television. He is best known
for his role as King George in the 1973 film, "Coffy," starring Pam
Grier, and as Sgt. Warren Reed in the 1987 science fiction film
RoboCop, the 1990 sequel RoboCop 2, and the 1993 sequel RoboCop 3. He
died February 9, 2008 at the age of 73. He was buried at Inglewood Park

A close friend
of mine told me how tired she was of the whole dating scene. Ya know,
you meet a guy that's cute and attractive then you talk for a few....so
you know some things about this person but for the most part, it's a
good start. After that, then there's the official date. She said that
she was tired of the whole meeting the representative first then later
meeting the real person who by the way is totally different!
At the same time she tells me this, she's perusing the net for a dating
website. She finds a few but soon gets frustrated at the difficulty of
getting around a techy website rather than dating. Then she found Hot Date.
This site is very easy to navigate and user friendly. Along with their
free membership, users are allowed to create a profile that only takes
less than 5 minutes to create, and mingle with singles. Unlike E Harmony and many other dating business, your profile won't be deleted
for any reason. The people of Hot Date
will find that special someone just for you so give them a try. Oh, my
friend? Truly in love with the man of her dreams thanks to Hot Date.

Stranger Slapped Crying Child, Police Say
AP
filed under: National News
STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (Sept. 2) - Police say a 61-year-old man annoyed with a crying 2-year-old girl at a suburban Atlanta Walmart slapped the child several times after warning the toddler's mother to keep her quiet.
A police report says after the stranger hit the girl at least four times, he said: "See, I told you I would shut her up." Skip over this content
Roger Stephens of Stone Mountain is charged with felony cruelty to children. It was unclear if he had an attorney and a telephone call to his home Wednesday was unanswered.
Authorities say the girl and her mother were shopping Monday when the toddler began crying. The police report says Stephens approached the mother and said, "If you don't shut that baby up, I will shut her up for you."
Authorities say Stephens then grabbed the 2-year-old and slapped her. The child began screaming and Stephens was arrested. Police say an examination showed the girl's face was slightly red.
A call to the girl's mother, identified in the police report as Sonya Mathews of Grayson, was answered by a woman who identified herself as Sabrina Mathis, the victim's aunt.
Mathis said Wednesday that the girl is doing fine.
"As of today, she has really forgotten about it," Mathis said. "She's been playing."
Mathis said the girl's mother was shaken up over the incident.
"She's as well as to be expected," Mathis said. "Right now she's just trying to calm down."

Like so many of my friends said, he wouldn't have made it past the first comment. An ambulance would have been there to carry him out. I'm sure we've been in this situation where you have to go through the torment of hearing a screaming child cry and cry over again. And it's just not at our friendly, redneck Walmart but everywhere. My neighbors have two screaming children that cries all day and all night, even in the wee hours. They scream, cry, jump up and down and pound the floors so much that they sound like they are in my place. I mean, what gives? Only two children are there but it sounds like 8. But, alas, they are children and they are innocent. Or are they? lol
The guy that was clearly aggravated should have thought this through and maybe put a bug in the mother's ear about her child in a respectful manner. And what about the loyal walmart shoppers and employees who saw the guy smack the child four times only to restrain him after the spanking? They should have been on him when he took the child.
Whassup with that?
